Rebranding National Ballet Mexico (CNDmx)

Art direction / Graphic design
Identity campaign and icon update for National Ballet México (CNDmx).
We developed the visual identity for one of Mexico’s most prominent and iconic dance companies.
Our aim was to establish a strong and consistent graphic language that would foster public recognition and loyalty towards the name.
The new icon for CNDmx blurs the boundaries of gender.
It creates a symbol that is sensitive to contemporary ideas and resonates with diverse realities — bringing CNDmx closer to a broader audience.
An image that represents a human being dancing — not a woman, not a man. A body with which anyone can identify.
We aim to represent the ethnic diversity present in the country, avoiding the reproduction of Eurocentric standards.
The selection of dancers is carried out with the goal of reflecting the true ethnic distribution of Mexico, presenting an image with familiar features to a larger proportion of the population.
CNDmx embraces contemporary ideas, steering clear of clichés commonly found in the dance world.
